Halloween

Woody came to our house for Halloween. Actually, he's been at our house since August when Liam happened upon this costume at Target- at least we got our money out of it right?

One of Liam's best friends, Tommy, dressed as Buzz. They looked like a real pair! Logan, more commonly referred to as "Mingo" dressed as Bullseye- but I don't have a picture. They all just looked so cute.

Then there was "Willa." Enough said...

The other day we noticed this gorgeous rainbow outside our kitchen window. When we went out front we were surprised to find to framing our house!
Liam really wanted me to dress as Jessie, but sadly he informed me that I couldn't fit in her costume.... Maybe next year. Hope you had a fabulous holiday as well.

Random

None of this is "new news" however, i think its worth noting. Have I ever told you I got a puppy?

Nothing can put this look on a 3 year olds face like a new puppy!

I won't show you the picture of a three year olds face when another family gets your puppy, but you get the idea....

It was a lot more sad than that, but more so for the dog lover of the family (me).

On a happier note, Liam has since found another buddy that never leaves his side-

Plus- who needs a puppy when you have a 3 year old friend who will "Rally" with you??
(yes... there is a sticker on the back on Liam's powerwheels that says GHBC Rally - Great Harvest Bread Co. Rally- wonder who stuck that on there??)

Happy weekend!

Wow. I'm embarrassed, ashamed, sickened, and down right bugged that I haven't blogged in so long. In fact, I'm so overwhelmed that I'm not even really going to write. Here is what has been happening in our recent past. Liam got rid of his "ga-ga," (oh and he turned 3),Wil ran 50 miles on his 29th birthday and Liam drew balloons on Wil's back for the big day, Liam also made Wil an awesome poster with little people on it (I love his little people) and we went to Disneyland for my mom's 50th (all of these pictures were from my phone so sorry for the lack of quality). Enjoy the pictures- more text to come soon!

Liam was so tired on the way home
Oh! And as most of you probably know, we are adding this sweet addition in a few short weeks (she looks a little like Liam sleeping in the picture above!)

What are you doing?

We were driving yesterday and Laur was talking to Jon on her phone. Liam wanted to talk to him so she passed him the phone. Liam's getting pretty good with his words, you know, stringing them together. But come on he's not even 3 yet. As soon as the phone was passed Jon asked, "Liam what are you doing?" Not missing a beat Liam yells "Pooping my pants!" Then as if encouragement was needed to laugh he follows it up with an enthusiastic Chris Farley-esque laugh, "AHHHH HAHAHA!" Ridiculous. Liam goes through stages of how he classifies people. How big their belly is, tall & short, and now, my favorite, if they still poo in their pants.

This above photo isn't much but it still captures the how funny Liam is. I just snapped one at the dinner table right after we ate this.

Other news at the Wood House; we had Bob and Kathy up last weekend. We saw Clash of the Titans. A good see if you like good action movies that are pretty cheesy. I liked it quite a bit. Just know what you're getting into. As always we ate well and worked a little too hard. Laur, Bob, and I worked at the Bakery all day Saturday. Thanks Kathy for watching Liam and thanks Bob for working with us. You guys helped out a ton and we had a great day because of it. Conference was great, also... I was a little tired though.

At Home....

A couple days ago I decided to document some of what Liam I did via photos. This was mostly for our entertainment, but since I'm lacking in the blog content, I'm going to share it with you guys. I love being at home.

Thank you to Abby who gave Liam this darling apron. We got out the play-dough and he told me he was going to make bread....

There it is. YUP. That is yummy piece of green bread that we then pretended to devour quickly.
Then, he read me a wonderful story. It was all about balloons of course!

Self portraits came next.

Yes it is late into the afternoon. Yes i am make-up-less and yes Liam is still happily in his pjs. I'd be lying if i said this is rarely the case.
Luckily my son loves cheese, as do I. So, it was a perfect excuse to get this out. (don't worry I didn't share too many sips of the Diet Coke)

After our snack, Liam decided he was going to make me "stuff."

As a young newlywed I'd always say that I wanted to continue working when I had kids. When Liam joined our family I soon discovered how rewarding motherhood was. Then when we bought the bakery and I was working, I'd complain so much. I wanted to be home. I didn't want to miss a beat. Not one breath, not one laugh, smile, coo. However, I think that having to work made me love the time at home I have now even more. I love when I have days when I can wake up and enjoy my son. Enjoy his age. Pretend, snack, swing, draw, stay into our pajamas late in the day. I need to do it more often.

On a side note, I've really been itching for a vacation lately.
Wouldn't mind being here right now-

I wouldn't complain if I were here either.
But for now, I'm perfectly content here-
